about
In August of 2011, the guys returned to studio to record a third song in their "Motions" series. ("Kodiac and Clock Tower" can be found on the band's "Illusions" EP released earlier this year.). For "Lorelei's Melody", the band again utilized producer Jessy Ribordy (front runner of Falling Up, The River Empires, and The Gloom Catcher). The band stays true to their unique sound and melodies, while adding a more driving guitar/rock sound.
lyrics
Separated and I begin to ask why, and I ask myself
"Is this where it dies?"
My artificial night gives false insight, but it's where I find
A peace of mind
Though distance has arrived I know...
You're here we're connected by lights
No space will see me surrender
No matter what path we find or where the hand points in time
Unsure of what's in store, it's the same as before
All uncertainties have me staring at the door
If we would have known, would we have shown
and opened up ourselves, I hope so
Though distance has arrived I know...
Whatever happens let never forget:
What's right might be a risk
You're here we're connected by lights
No space will see me surrender
No matter what path we find or where the hand points in time

I'm a longtime fan of all of Jessy Ribordy's music and writing. He's an extraordinary artist.
This album is a fascinating look into the creative process of this band, and it's cool to imagine how some of these tracks factored into the process of finding the sound for the main TRE album.
I'm really glad to hear some of these tracks, and I wish there was more TRE to come. joshuabond

My favorite Falling Up album by far! Love the musical creativity and originality, combined with beautiful lyrics and vocals. Can't stop listening! annavdbrink
